Touring with Adam- by Alison

Alison has just told me she is waiting for me to write this blog- as apparently she is not there yet- mmm they have all accused me of being blog obsessed and she needs to do her nails. Priorities!!!!
Okay yesterdays tour with Adam - Denmark has its own statue of David - he is massive (they like them big here).
So the first photo is the dome of the church that the royals of Denmark go to, and if you stare at it and turn slowly you get dizzy half way through.

The second is Cousin Adam and Alison staring at the ceiling looking really impressed that they can not take their eyes off it to pose for the photo.

Now I have got their attention for a photo on the chursh- I am not a s pretty but I am friendly enough to look at well Alison then looked back at the ceiling as I took the shot.

Cousin Adam took us to Queen Margrethe house- and she was home, how do we know the flag was flying to say she was at home.

This is Cousin Adam and Alison outside her house in the court yard.

Have a few photos to really prove that we were there in her court yard.

The Journey

We are leaving on a jet plane - that is how the song goes and it is a long journey. So we did the we are at the airport travel log photo session. I think that we look remarkable well - although I forgot to take the final photo it was only 3 hours after the London photo.

Where is the Little Mermaid?

This is a question that will plague many tourists in the coming months who venture to Denmark just to view the statue in the water. Thankfully we can help you either not be disappointed or alert you to change your plans.
The little Mermaid has swam to China for a holiday and is currently inside in a warm environment for the winter. We had added the link as a side page but will add here so you can see.  http://mermaidexchange.com/

Also attached is a photo of the live tv screen on location in Denmark showing her in China so that all her family here can watch her and make sure she is safe.
Miss you from here

It's Saturday- what we did today

Hi all - a great sleep in today, although I woke up at 3 am and worked on the blog for 2 hours preparing for the next postings.
Dragged our butts out of bed by 10am and after we got dressed for the day we had the best breakfast ever. Pastries, bread, cheese, salami, spreads etc- long leisurely breakfast that finished at lunch time.
Finally we got out of the unit and headed into town, we did the canel trip today- check out the photos.
Then went to a cafe for an hour to watch the world go by and discuss the fashion hits and misses.
We are now at home with pizza on the way.
hej HEJ ( that is bye bye)
miss you from here

This is the mega rich section on the canel in Denmark. Used to be where they made torpedos ( memory is vague already and none of remeber what it actually was - sorry)

Boat moored on the canel- cost is 30,000 to 70,000 Kornas to moor here- then add electricity and water costs on top.

My aileen visit photo, us going under a bridge and taking a photo straight up and the flash bouncing back

Alsion and I on the ferry

Alison and I on the ferry- her with no sunglasses on in sympathy with me as I had broken mine on the flight and left the 2nd pair at Jacqui's

Shot on the water of some buildings mmmm- forgot their names

Nyhavn - famous for the colour buildings and has has the oldest building 1671

Hans Christian Anderson lived here - we love his stories - this is in Nyhavn

Nyhavn again and the other side

Cousin Adam and Alison outside parilment house- a lot fancier than ours in Canberra

Action shot of Cousin Adam and Alison outside parliment house

Cousin Adam and I outside parliment house- where you can see more of the building than us (it is prettier than us and more magical)

In case you haven't guessed it is parliment house with Cousin Adam and me

Denmark- DAY ONE

Hi all we arrived here yesterday about 1pm. Cousin Adam picked us up at the airport- very expensive trip in for him, he got fined on the way in for only punching his travel pass once (not twice) cost him 650 kroner.
So after a pleasant afternoon hanging at Adam's house. We went for a walk around his house- looking at the 6 local churches so we would know where the bells were coming from the next morning. Also the local hospital just in case we needed to bike our self there.
And we only had a long sleeve top and one sweat shirt on- so not so cold today!

Trine came home with dinner which was great, and after a couple hours catch up Alison and  I needed to get some sleep- bed at 9pm (yes very early) but we had travelled for 30 hours and up for another 7 hours.
Miss you all from here
